Greenwood RendesvousA Story by Patches I'm not so new anymore. This is what I consider a good time, it gets no better than this!Orange tinted broom sedge casts pumpkin colored spears of grass onto the early spring cooled waters of the lake.
The cloying straw-like fragrance drifts leisurely over the secluded meadow where men, graybearded, grizzled men attired in Lincoln green,
carry long bows and sheves od cloth-yard arrows stroll unhurriedly to the center of the clearing.
Gentle zephyers fan cook fires, from which savory the aroma of sage-rubbed vinison and roasting pork waft enticingly through the glade.
A cask of chilled red ale sweats near the board awaiting the call to table.
Alan-A- Dale speaks:
"When last we came to table in good King Harry's greenwood snow lay blue beneath a gellid moon.
"Tonight, outlaws of old, we gather beneath the shimmer of a full spring moon to remember the olde times and Robin--- with advantages... """"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""
As white-hot meteors race across a sable sky stories long mute find voice...
The night sparkles with stars, tales of derring-do, narrow escapes, accompanied by cutting wit and good natured chiding.
As ancient archers--- "Brothers of the Bow and Blade" share cool ale, good food and old memories---- with advantages!
