boy do i love this poem ..every line a tweet ..er treat ;) the charm drips from it like honey and the interjection of language like:
"she thought he was all that " and:
"a real show stopper" make the personalizations of the birds that much more real ..not sure you need the "turpor" definition ..i felt it in the preceding line quite well .. this is a tribute i truly wish i wrote for me own Ma and Da ..well done .. a keeper for sure!

This made me smile. I wonder how much birds really feel, and what they would say if they could! Yours is a really lovely little poem, giving nature a bit of personification. Good for you.

Apparently we are due for a storm tonight. I sincerely hope it is not as bad as the one you had! Clever you, for avoiding it!!

Birds of all colors and diversity visit our feeders. The music is classical in style with a bit of soft rock. They raise a family and seek a pleasant environment with shelter of old trees and nesting spots.
Honey bees and hummingbirds pollinate and plant seeds. The trees give us shade in summer and warmth from burning fallen branches in winter storms. Life is good if we help each other in brotherhood. truly, Pat
What sweet, goings on, it seems a fantasy land of color, chirps and flitting about. At this moment, the hummers are all over the two feeders on the patio, taking cues from this poem.

Me humble when I think of how resourceful they can be. When we put out feeders, they are so overjoyed to bring friends to dinner and the music is a symphony of chickadees and warblers with sounds of violins and percussion to soothe your whimsy. I appreciate your visit. Next time we will have tea and crumpets. truly, Pat
You must be a bird-watcher becuz your descriptions are so crisp & unique & fresh & interesting. I love the way you bring in lots of creatures to round out the setting. I often marvel at how there are so many interesting sights & sounds when one sits still to observe.

Maybe you should be ordained as the poetic PATron saint of the birds? Such devotion to those little creatures you have!
This is another adorable write; delicately describing the cycle of mating of our avian friends. They share so many similarities with we humans in their yearly rituals.
I enjoyed the poem, Pat. Lovely as always.
