Butterflies and Autumn SkiesA Poem by Patricia WedelDiscoveries on an October dayAlong the sand dunes where wildflowers grow I spoke to a Scare crow (needing a Brain) who was dressed in straw-covered clothes... jeans and a red plaid shirt... I asked him if he had seen the Lion and he answered... "He is very cowardly and dived into the Wagon of Straw". So I inquired if he knew the whereabouts of the Tin Man. I was told that now he had a heart and was looking for Romance. We danced around the Autumn leaves where Acorns were falling around our heads and scattered along the Yellow Brick Road. Butterflies in autumn skies land on Chrysanthemums and orange red Pumpkins ready for pies. © 2019 Patricia WedelFeatured Review
