Gladiolas standing Tall Part One

We dress in Petals of Violet and Red as though we are Guardians of Silhouettes..

We want to protect our Home and families 

of Storms and virtual Reality... as Politicians 

speak on Hallowed Ground where soldiers now 

lie in Repose to gather Poppies and Prayers... 

Our Homes are protected by Guns and Roses with 

Thorns and Triggers that kill and destroy 

our Citizens... 

What can we do to ensure that there will be 

Peace in the Valley...  Amen

If War is the only response to problems between countries, their borders and all.. why has there been more than one?

dear Em... sorry for being late to reply... it seems that our Country has lost it's Marbles. We have become a Chess Game that does not end. Half of the people are oblivious; and the other half are in Shock.
The Grandfather Clock just ticks away... while we Pray. Thanks for leaving your brilliant observation. We are in such Peril with Politics ruling the Nation.
We the people have let this happen ... because we elected Leaders who could not compromise for the Sake of the People (who elected them to represent "We the People" ... with our Tax Money. sadly, Pat

I think about this so often dear Patricia, and one thing that always seems to come to mind, (and this applies to many things) is that nobody thinks in terms of legacy anymore we are so fast-paced these days that the sound byte and meme culture has taken away the attention span of the masses and the politicians bank on it they don't seem to care much about the long term because the masses don't care about anything longer than a few hours until the next big tragedy strikes and the cycle just keeps repeating! Some clever man once said the definition of insanity is to do the same thing over and over again and expect the results to change! What if that insanity has become a part of our collective culture? If only we could make them all think in terms of legacy

You are so right. People are tired of violence, senseless killings. In everything, it is how we use them. Guns can be used for protection or used for illegal crimes; a double-edged sword. I blame the user, sick in the head or evil, for abusing the right. In my opinion, it is more like or should be a privilege like owning a driver's license, a passport. I could be wrong. Lots of emotions on both sides.

to new solutions where everyone has work to do to pay their own way.

dear Em… when a Government or Parliament cannot take care of it’s people… we the people need to create an atmosphere where all the Politicians are at risk of losing their Right to Office.
