I like the singing heart image I see in my mind...I am glad you don't have the picture because I have created a beautiful one all on my own. Very emotional words,
"When she first saw him
her heart sang a song
for no other
did she long"
I like the format with the word "drifts" spread out so the mind of the reader drifts a little as well. I like your poem and am glad you have posted it.
A beautiful poem...love, need, trust, service to each other, faith, hope and a wonderful ending.
Can you tell I like this poem?
I see a story in it also, longer than poem lines..but shorter than a novel.
enjoyed
I really like this poem Chloe. It's ever original, and is an uplifting story about love. It's very interesting to read. I don't know why, but am image of a winter landscape filled my mind as she was looking for her love. It's weird how my mind translated the imagery you are presenting here. Great job!
Reminds me of an old movie "Jeramiah Johnson" with Robert Redford the entire melieu here deals with a woman but the idea is the same everpresent danger, life hanging by a thread----
This was superb! - Just like a mini epic. I could see the image of her emotions throughout
throughout the writing. I like what you did with the word (DRIFT) very clever, made this reader smile.
This was exceptional I read what others said on it and have to agree with Michael on this. It had the sound of the 'Native American' to it. The woman waiting for her love, her heart dying deep inside with fear, yet hope remained.. This was like a story, told in such a terrific way for the images inside made one see all you brought forth. It was like I was there, with her, waiting, fearing.. Great job my friend on this. You write with deep soul
. soulful ... and yet it cuts, slices and stings ... the dimensions of survival and anxiety ... of love, death and life ... surface exceptionally well in this simple yet profound masterpiece from you ... this is definitely an extremely compelling read ...
Sometimes i feel like an alien in a strange land..can you relate?
I love people and friends are just that to me , friends-if you request me as a friend it would be nice if you read something I have .. more..
