My heart quickens when your lips touch mine
a feeling so divine
beautiful
wonderous

How does the simple beauty of one kiss
fill me with such bliss?

How can I be in the darkest place of my soul,
and then, with the touch of your lips, be blinded by light?

Because the kiss is from you

Usually repetitions in small poems stick out to me, here it works well. The repeated words and rhymes trickle down throughout the poem in such a wonderful simple way. It's very much like the kiss you describe. You send shivers down the poem as well.

This just proves that one good kiss can change your perspective. I honestly think that a kiss can be more intimate than sex itself. You can't hide yourself when you give a kiss. You give of yourself. Your emotions come shining thru whether you want them to or not. A good kiss has to have the right chemistry to move forward to sex or even a relationship. If the kiss ain't good...nothing else will be either. I truly believe that. LOL Thanks for sharing.
