Imagination

Imagination

A Poem by Paul Michael Kelly
"

A short reflective piece about our place making our future

"

Someone famous once said;

"What can be imagined can never be lost"

Thus I choose to hold an image in my mind

The world I wish my children to live in

So pristine and clear, it causes me to smile

Simply for the joy of being able to

For without imagination what do we have?

How could we ever see the way that cannot yet be seen?

How could we ever change ourselves?

How could we ever change the world?

If we can’t even change our minds?

Hiiiiii!!! I like the conclusion of this poem. This poems springs my imagination by thinking of all the ways of the future. But then the quote "if we can't even change our minds" forces me to step outside myself and think how could I change. Wonderful poem!!

I'm thankful nobody won't asks - What?
is imagination - To, Save! Save! Save! Our all, first utterance; That, don't stop! From, O Love we flows, we shows on flickering trails

Well done & good poem I always wondered
about, the imagination.

In my imagination the world as it is now spins on its axis, and there is peace and love.
I hope it is not only in my imagination but can happen.
I haven't got that many years left, but for the sake of the children of the world, there must be change.
This poem speaks to that and it speaks to me.

Your imagined world sounds splendid. A lot better than the one we are currently experiencing.

All life on this planet has intelligence, but we have imagination to create what does not exist. Its a wonder how we have not destroyed the world with the gift.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

Thanks for your kind words.
An imagination creates hope when the going gets tough. Thank goodness we can make our own mind movies. Much enjoyed my visit here.
