SweatersA Poem by PaulineA simple poem I'm hoping will make you smile.
Nimble fingers are a-dancing Knitting word on word together Then strikes at shades of black and grey Oh what a dismal looking sweater. Across the way, words are running Up and down the rainbow bright Green and purple, yellow and blue A colourful sweater of delight. Winter peeps through every season Sending clouds of sulking grey The store displays these knitted words A passer-by looks at this display Which one to buy to keep in warmth There is no doubt of which to choose A rainbow keeps all winter out For these hues are sent to you to sooth. So knit ye not a thousand words In colours of a darkly hue To dull the brain and bring the rain Knit a rainbow to see you through. © 2022 PaulineReviews
