Forever and Always

Forever and Always

A Poem by Sharon Miller Bolander
"

An Acrostic

"

Finding you, the one I love,

On but a chance encounter

Reflects how life’s a wandering thread

Ending only when the knot of death

Vines its way to closure,

Embracing hope into its last

Rasping breath.

And

Not even

Death can end love.

A thread of you and a thread of me

Linger together as we weave toward life’s end.

Without regret, with memories of shared yesterdays

And thankfulness for knowing love,

You and I can walk toward tomorrow’s

Sunset knowing love shall never end.

Your acrostic poem is a tender celebration of enduring love, beautifully intertwining the inevitability of life’s end with the permanence of connection. I love how the imagery of threads and weaving gives a sense of continuity and intimacy, making love feel both delicate and unbreakable. The closing lines leave a warm, hopeful resonance, reminding the reader that true love transcends time and even death.

A lovely acrostic filled with warmth and gratitude. The idea that love continues past life’s ending is expressed with such grace.
