Still We KeepA Poem by Adam LightI'm trying to describe a very real phenomenon. As much as we want to, we can't rush music if we want to have a chance of enjoying it.In a cool dark room that was tinted blue, A song was played; it was something new. The listener, anxious to be impressed, did not fully in the experience invest. With critical ears and hands to censure, the song was stopped, ending adventure. Another new song was then given go, as the listener went to the window. This one was beautiful, true, and deep, For songs cannot move us, if ourselves still we keep.
