Farewell Old Friend Of Mine

A year ago an old friend whom I had for over 14 years finally left me. He has moved on in life and I'm glad he is finally happy. I will cherish our old memories as he makes new ones. Goodbye.

I have made my peace. 

In these last 12 months, I have come to accept and let you go.

I met someone knew. 

You would like him and approve.

It makes me happy that you’re finally happy. 

I’ve seen enough and it’s time I let go. 

You no longer need me in this life anymore.

The smile that was hidden she has brought back to life. 

I’m so happy to have called you a dear friend.

So today I say my goodbyes.

Treat her good and don’t make her cry.

Make her laugh and continue you to show her the light you have inside.
