Questions Like Angels at my Dawn

Questions Like Angels at my Dawn

A Poem by Perdition

I guess it could be me
That noise at the front of life
Empty hangers
Rooms that just go on
Mirrors of mind confetti

But I dare to think it's not
Maybe
The ultimate curse
At least to try to know
If this is silly the way I think

Old red
Still in his slip
Molly close on the wheel
My eyes syphoning a tank
and all these things that grow wild on guitar
Ballads that shy from repeating

I guess it could be me
Kicking at mud
Planes don't thrill me like they did
But I try like they do
Internal traveler
Eternal I

She passes my window
Like minutes we burn
I die
She knows everything
And I could never fall
again
Would I

I guess it could be me.

"Internal traveler
Eternal I"

There are times when I read lines from a poem and wish I had been clever enough to come up with them myself, and this is one of those instances. Those 2 lines stuck out to me the most, for some reason.

I very much enjoyed this one. :)

' Old red - Still in his slip - Molly close on the wheel - -My eyes syphoning a tank - and all these things that grow wild on guitar - Ballads that shy from repeating .. '

There's a lost soul in there, trying to unpick a lock, trying to escape darkness. Yet - all said, start to finish in beautiful language. Guess it is you.
