For a Moment

For a Moment

A Poem by Perdition

For a moment

With distance in proper view

A single star beyond our moon

Relinquished

And all returned as witness

For a moment

Nobility was winged

The sky unnecessary as

We ascended across

A freedom

Clouded with remedy

Smiling children of rain puddled dance

Everything

Lilting into unison

There was no need

No pain

A language spoken in weightlessness

Freedom in the Gardner’s hew

Our return

By and by

Through each other

All awareness a mustard seed

The road ascending in lieu of barricade

And wild in mountains

I returned

To the sounds of laughter

Far away thunder

The kiss of clouds as

She brought me orchids of the field

I poured warm faces of coffee

Morning joined us as one

In greatest gifts

Briefly

Our deafening lives

Became perfect

A roar of silence

Violet chakra

For a moment

Our trust in proper view

To a valley of all

We relinquished

All that mattered
