"From Your Lips To Mine:" an edited version

There are many woods ahead

and the indigent rains will smile

the crop of sky in her dark winter’s robe

weeping her way back home

yet here is where I often stop

my head as distant as I came

hard beneath the branches

and I know

tomorrow grows so much deeper than I realize

the hunger from my starving well

 

your beating heart groans beneath strings of white marrow

black tangled braids operate through my cavernous chest

as I become the silence in your silent room,

watching, waiting

my mirror images at play

your breasts pressed into the moon’s tongue

 

there are teams of horses still here tonight

nocturnal hooves galloping through wet and open dream

beating my mind where I did not intend

 

and absence is our redemption

a promise I made long ago

a promise I gave to the end

and in the end what deeper bond should I regret

what deeper depth, regrets me still,

 

it is in this the mire I adore your love

in the want where we are torn

delicate as delicate knows our name

 

and you are warm

A question hovering  the covers in my empty bed

and beautiful as an

arrow about to strike

hours before the taste of shame completes its journey

I will crawl, a wild lion anesthetized

I will slow my breath in the snare you have designed

 

my sight commanding to a darkness

as light is merely a want and wistful glow

indulgent in my sorrows

and who am I to sleep within the sun

and who am I to love with hands unable

where our life remains reliant

on the hours of little things

That is the any one have ever used it in a one of reviews,,, first time I haver ever had anyone use that in one of my poetry reviews. Seriously ! This one is is by far my new favorite sly verbage...Never been used??....I kid u not. Oh! and thank you so much! Sorry ...I just never hear that word and it's of my favorite and I have no idea why...maybe because it is so rarely used? Great Review! now I'm Giddy!..lol. Seriously... thank you Dhara!!!
