Eternal

I wish to be like a diamond. 

Nearly perfect, almost flawless. 

Close to unbreakable, and forever shining... 

Eternal, ageless, never dying, timeless. 

I wish to be eternal... 

To see the countless ages. 

To endure century after century. 

To live forever and ever... 

To be forever young and forever old. 

Never to die. 

Even if the world dies around you... 

I feel like the most selfish person. 

Why can't we all be eternal?

Nothing is ever perfect... 

But that sounds almost like perfection. 

Or at least, close to it.

Eternal...

This life seems far too short. 

And nothing ever lasts forever. 

I do not seek redemption...
