Still living.

A short poem about hope.

Suicide in the mind,
if I said I was fine, I lied,
fear I might be running out of time,
so many times that I've tried.

Living without a reason,
waiting for a change of season.

But I will keep on going,
I will keep on showing,
I will keep on flowing.

Will you lift me with a hug?
When I am drowning in mud...

I am back to writing,
I am back to fighting.

I don't give up that easy,
drugs made me feel dizzy.
But now I am clean,
maybe the best I've ever been.

Get up, stand up, live up,
and never, ever, shut up,
I will not just give up!

I’m surprised by this read. I can sense a fighting spirit in this.

It is based on survival and having the courage to be a better person. Overcoming addiction and negative self-doubt.
