Life can be difficult.

A short poem about difficult times during life.

Life can hold a lot of strife,
I have a friend that was blown up by his wife.
That really is not nice.
Some people show less integrity than mice.

Life has a lot of dangers,
and we have to deal with all the haters.
Predators, enemies, all evil makers,
some people never give, they are only takers.

Life, for some, means less than a grain of rice.
Some people never show respect.
I've said it, and I ain't taking it back.
Lots of grey, it's not about white or black.

Life, sometimes can be really hard,
some people just want to drive us mad.
On the table I play my card,
some pretend they are normal, but act retard.

I agree that life is hard. As one of my teachers would say, it's the nature of the beast.
But I'm also reminded in the Book of Job 5:6-7 For affliction does not come from the dust,
nor does trouble sprout from the ground,
7 But man is born to trouble, as the sparks fly upward.
And Lord knows that I've had my share, and learning to take them to the Lord in prayer.

This one made me laugh more than once. I never doubt the integrity of mice. They are very dependable, albeit, despicable, little creatures. Since the Black Plague they've got a bad rep. I would venture that "normal" is merely a term we use for a measure of insanity that is socially tolerable. I think everyone is crazy but there are varrying degrees of madness. I read about a molecular physicist who stuffed his oversized shoes with newspaper to keep from falling through the reality of his floor because all his research proved to him that his floor should not theoretically support him. And while that seems harmless enough, there are other sorts of phobias and psychosis and delusion that are substantially more unstable and more dangerous. Yes, life is tough, so tough it kills us all in the end. So let's not take it too seriously since none of us are getting out of this alive. I enjoyed the read. F.

The part of the friend that was blown up by is wife, it is not made up, that really happened.
To this day, he still suffers, and nearly made it alive.
