Until The Last Flake FallsA Poem by Ellusive RoseA woman talks to her child on her death bed
Until The Last Flake Falls As you sit beside me Smiling as best as you could Holding my frail hands in yours You say a prayer In your sweet, gentle voice Hesitating on every single word As much as I wanted yo I could not answer To your silent pleas I wanted to hold you And say it would be alright I can feel the tears Streaming down your face Drip Drop As it falls onto mine The snow continues To fall Making a blanket of white That only you and me could have Even though I cannot speak Please let my heart Reach yours And hear it say I will be with you Until the last flake falls © 2009 Ellusive RoseAuthor's Note
