Superior Flight On A Simple Ride

 

I want to go where the rider stays
between the lines toward a golden haze
Where nothings gasps but the air that is drawn
from my lips when the skyline fancies dawn
On a steed of steel where my hair can blow
and make no choice of where to go
But move, toward a touch that is well deserved,
as a soft caress flows with my words
toward a lonely face in a graceful glide
that breaks a frown into a smile
Then on toward horizons where love may collide
with another heart that longs to ride
So many believe in want and need
in a shadow world where nothing comes free
But superior flight lives right on the edge
Of an open heart and it thinks instead
That this is a day that started new
that troubles are many & pleasures few ~
and so it kicks the kick stand up
in a delicate pink and a coral burst

This is sutle and yet in the face. I'm retired Air Force and in my time the one thing I always wanted was to fly. I didn't care to where or how long. You've captured that want in this write. I really like this alot.
