Analogous Socks

Analogous Socks

A Poem by Phill Oz O'fee

Analogous Socks

Overheard a four year old ask his dad

If my shoes were on the wrong legs

Would I walk in a giant circles?

Made me obtusely amused to ponder

Should I check world leaders feet

As plainly they practice this technique!

I also noticed a recent adolescent fad

Of wearing cotton analogous socks

Complimenting a pair they keep at home.

This gave me raise to excogitate

How all governmental party politics

May differ yet all remain the same

Two college girls in heated debate

Using language like the 'man in the moon'

Was a misconstrue attack on all women

Promoted my brain cells into cogitating

Has political correctness has gone insane

Even my vegetables appear all identical

The constant certainty in this life

A realisation growing older brings

More buffoonish disorder than coherency

'Complimenting a pair they keep at home.'- what a way to set those lines, love 'em!

There you go again, bewildering me with language, vocabulary and brilliant thoughts gone beautifully crazy! Socks, like thoughts, screw the mind, but somehow that picture works so well, especially involving polly ticks! As for political correctness, most of us ignore the concept cos we know better! .

Second line, final stanza?
