Guess what I always thought ...platonic love is something..which is just superficial....that was what my understanding was....:)

It's always nice to connect to someone on a soul level.... it's very beautiful....
Then it automatically will create that completion in your soul...and we will not feel that we are lacking something.... :)

Your description/ intro was crucial for preparing me for your abbreviated synopsis of platonic love. Everything other love is superfilous measured against it or is only friendly? Is it not mutually exclusive with physical, metaphysical? Is it determined by a measure of self interest?

Alas I think you are right. Whatever happened to platonic relationships of yesteryear? All gone up in smoke. Everything is sexual now. They've even got a name for it. Friends with benefits.
