Never Forgetting

In shadows deep where sorrow dwells

A tale of hearts and broken bells

Yet through the dark, a light does weave

In memory, we dare believe

From ashes rose a song of life

Defying night, transcending strife

We honour those who faced despair

In whispered winds, their courage share

Remember well, the stories told

Of countless lives, of spirits bold

Through time and space, their echoes ring

A testament to suffering

Yet still, we hope, with hearts anew

For peace, for love, for skies of blue

In unity, we stand as one

To guard the light of justice won

Hello my friend. I was station in Germany in 1976. I went to Auschwitz and Dachau. I could smell the odor of hair in the ovens. I agree. We can't not forget. But since the Germany deathcamps. So many more mass murdered in our world. Hello Phill. Powerful and worthwhile words.

A fine poem posted at the eightieth anniversary. How can Humankind ever, ever forget. Might it, will it, could it.. NEVER!

'Through time and space, their echoes ring
A testament to suffering.'
