In the Region of Timelessness

In the Region of Timelessness

A Poem by Phill Oz O'fee
"

The quality of being unaffected by the passage of time.

"
In the Region of Timelessness

The moment holds its breath

A thin silver thread

Between heartbeats

Trembling but unbroken

Light hangs in the air

As if deciding whether to fall

Dust motes drifting like slow constellations

Searching for a sky

Nothing moves

Yet everything leans forward

The way a question leans toward an answer

Not ready to be spoken

In this hush

Even memory forgets its direction

Past and future loosen their grip

Becoming two shadows

Cast by the same flame

And you stand there

Weightless in the pause

Listening for the world

To choose its next breath
