They Just Escape from My Pencil Lead

They Just Escape from My Pencil Lead

A Poem by Pi Cee
"

My trees, my loves.

"
I like drawing them,
gliding my magic wand in smooth strokes to form the trunk-
making it strong and sturdy
-a wish for myself-
carving in the branches
to bend effortlessly with the wind-
just like breathing, releasing held in tension
relaxing with a calm love potion.

I like the bare arms,
how they hug the sky tighter,
while wrapped in a blanket of snow to keep warm for the winter.

I love bare trees in the winter. Most people never even look at them twice. I really like the title of this. As an artist I can relate! Nice!

Oops! "the hug the"...? =)

Along came a seed that turned into a sprout, that became a tree, and then exclaimed, "All my leaves have escaped me!"
Along came nature, whose rain turned to snow, that blanketed the tree and spoke real low, "I shall warm thee, just so you know."

I got the image of a mighty Oak Tree standing tall and stout in a forest of many. The winds would blow and her branches would bend, but never break, always protecting those below her great canopy. At the same time, ever stretching and growing higher towards the the sun, the giver of life.

Great Imagery!
Aaron =)
