Avoiding sleep, scared of dreams,
hoping against wishes,
and you're ready to jump.

I'm tired, too tired,
I can't catch you, I won't.

The last line I chuckled a bit. It's so very true. Sometimes we see people in our lives making such heavy mistakes and you become too drained to save them again and again. Awesome poem.

I like how the title helped with the topic of this poem (or at least I thought so anyways.) I loved the point you made here, a point I wish I could get across to some people. Maybe I will show them your poem. Good write!

This piece speaks of loneliness to me. Having come to a point in the journey were the walls are steep, the flooring is failing and the seas crash and rubble upon jagged rocks below. A place were there is barely enough strength left inside to just brace against the wind.
I saw the last three lines as both the voice of desperation, as well as a reminder that one's inner will is far stronger than most things.
