The Train Rolls Out

The Train Rolls Out

A Poem by piccolabeth

I stare into eyes of pin-point chaos.
You're there with your lost mind,
Chasing endless dragons.
You pick up your long sword
With the might of a thousand
And thrust it with a knowing
That the battle is done.
STILL you keep trying.

I see through a body of age and defiance.
You're there with your young mind
Chasing endless years.
You dream up your young days
With the thought of a child
And relive them with a knowing
That the time has come.
STILL you keep trying.

I look in a soul for countless reactions.
Are you the with your tired mind,
Chasing endless voices?
Are you thinking of angels
With the hope of a human,
And seeing them with a knowing
That you'll soon be one?
STILL you keep trying.
