Now words can speak
Of the tears I shall weep
When my Flutterby hatches,
When she grasps and recaptures
The smile she has to seek.

No words can tell
Of the tears that so fell
When my caterpillar said
That a cocoon awaited
For her to find and to love, and in dwell.

No words can express
How my joy feels heartless,
As my butterfly flutters by,
Aiming at floating high,
And I'm reaching and shouting
'Farewell...Goodbye...'

No words can express,
Only express less.
