All but rot and decay

All but rot and decay

A Poem by Revan Pronghorn
"

All poets will write a love-themed poem sooner or later. I doomed myself to the former.

"

All but rot and decay

All is wasted away.

My sanctum of isolation

Your smile, your complexion.

A waterfall of downfall

Hinted by reclusive eyes

Putrefaction’s bluest skies.

All but rot and decay

Should it all end today

So it echoes yesterday?

I can picture the darkness in this poem, but if I may ask, are you ok? Aren't you too depressed? Or do you make use of that depression to make such dark poems? Well done btw. keep it up!

Is it really that dark? I wrote it while listening to a song, so that might've influenced it a lot.<.. read more
