A Writer's WorldA Poem by Melinda McQueenA white template Becomes a free space In which to bleed the soul Of all it bestows.
Freedom to roam The longings innermost Dwellings none could see… A writer’s world sets them free.
A space that invites Not only others into your fight, But anchors your feelings, Giving voice to your believing.
Words become poetic prose, A force all their own.
Sometimes they rhyme, Sometimes they haven’t time. A creativity in your control… A writer’s world is ever told.
Expressing joy deep, Or sadness that makes the heart weep. A desire to be heard… to be read… To remove something from your heart… your head.
A seal between your heart and life, Words become your eyes.
Emotions a tangled mess Beautifully adorn a page well-dressed. An oyster’s pearl… A writer’s world. © 2015 Melinda McQueenReviews
