Secrets of My HeartA Poem by Melinda McQueenSearching the depths Of my heart where secrets are kept, Marvel do I at their splendor, For their power could never be rendered.
These secrets I refer to Are of a pale blue. Having no shape, They barely have a name.
Blurred along the edges, Yet the center is where it hinges. Folding in ever creasing folds, They open and close.
The secrets I know, The secrets I bestow… Live and breathe On the inside of me.
These secrets I refer to Are dreams gone askew. Known only by me; I oft ask myself “Will they ever be?”
They tickle, they yearn, As a flickering fire they burn. They live and vow not to depart; Secrets of my heart. © 2015 Melinda McQueenReviews
