The Highest Point

The Highest Point

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

The journey vast,

Wide is the path.

Heavy-laden packs,

Unfamiliar tracks.

The valleys,
The ever flowing streams.

Striving to meet

The highest point in one’s journey.

The rocky trail

Where dreams often fail.

The deep well

Where despair dwells.

Ever reaching,

Ever unleashing.

A force leading,

The highest point meeting.

For it is there,

Awaiting each of us to adhere.

Beckoning us near

By the way He has cleared.

Now we find

The path is not as wide.

Our heavy-laden hearts thrive

At the highest point which is the Great Divine.

Melinda, you just keep achieving! You keep inspiring others. You inspire me because you have found something at which at ground zero, you are as good as anybody else.

Awwww Thank you so much! :)
Another very nice poem you penned Melinda. I so like this stanza from your piece:

"Ever reaching,
Ever unleashing.
A force leading,
The highest point meeting.

You have a very clever way with your word structure, I wish I had this ability.
