An Ocean's Dream

An Ocean's Dream

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

The ocean deep,

As times it’s calm and quiet.

In others, it roars loudly,

Beating whether or not anyone hears it.

Flowing where it will in its time,

And though most only see

What comes to the shoreline,

There’s much more just beneath.

An ocean’s dream

Is to reach its destiny.

The power to believe

In the unseen.

Though it seems serene,

It roars on the inside.

Pounding fiercely,

It ever resides.

Up and down

In its own rhythm it moves.

To its own sound

It remains true.

Its essence strong,

Spilling forth ever so freely.

The rushing waves become its song…

An ocean’s dream.

For me.......it could be the salty water from the angel's tears, that they shed when they see the Master longing for all of His people to come to Him. As so many turn away from Him. Valentine

Yes, that is so true.
Im guessing the ocean may symbolize ourselves, or you. We are the ocean...At times we have a peace at other times we have turmoil on the inside. No everyone is able to see or hear that turmoil that we are going through or that we are experiencing. The destiny for me would be to make it to Heaven and to have a continued strength in faith and maybe for you as well. A lot of people have the ability to really hold in the pain and the suffering that is going on, on the inside. Others see them as peaceful people who have a good spirit, while on the inside there is a totally different story. Each and ever person has their own rhythm in which they dance to in this life. Through the waves, could be a pen or any other medium by which they make contact with their world they give there song. I really love this piece. Thanks for sharing
