Thy Gentle Grace

A gentle hush falls over me

As I listen quietly.

No sound uttered

As grace ushers

A river of peace.

 

My deepest praise,

My worship which fills this page…

Could never be enough

To thank You Lord, for all You have done.

How I lavish in Thy gentle grace.

 

For though I don’t deserve,

My soul You have preserved.

Giving Thy life,

So I can rise.

Until then, You I will serve.

 

Be over all my days

And govern all my ways.

Be not silent unto my call,

Lest I slip and fall.

My soul needs Thy gentle grace.

 

Keep my heart still

And humbled to Thy will.

For my only need

Is found in Thee.

O the love instilled!

 

A Love to never fade,

A Love to replace my pain.

A Heart to listen,

A Heart to watch me rise again…

In Thy gentle grace.

Melinda I found the first stanza to be not as good as the rest - maybe the use of two 'ush' type words did it..?
The rest are beautiful and each one of the others could be a lovely stand alone micro-prayer/poem.
