Found of Love

Long ago there was you,
a force wild and true.

Hitting hard, you were a punch

That had the softest touch.

 

Coming in from nowhere,

All I knew is that you were here.

I had always wanted to know you up close

And to peel back your layers like a rose.

 

Raining down, I felt your essence;

Light in my soul, heavy was your presence.

Your cool crystals formed diamonds in my heart

Which shall never part.

 

The tenderness of your embrace

Did not go to waste.

For you I still feel

Despite the depth of years.

 

A dream ever to be,

A vision ever to see.

A lasting memory,

An answered plea.

 

Found of you, O Love,

I was… for once… enough.

Searching, you sought me;

Found of Love, you I see.
