When God Fills Your Cup

When God Fills Your Cup

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

The curtains open wide,

The hope of the call

Ever surfaces, ever rides

On the waves of the rise and fall.

Faith encircles its arms

In an embrace.

Keeping warm

In all you face.

It reaches the best,

Sees the worst.

It stands the test

Until dreams birth.

Knowing not the words, “give up”,

You keep pressing onward.

When God fills your cup

It keeps you looking inward

Opening the eyes of your soul,

You see the hope you possess.

Enabling you to grow,

Even in times of stress.

When life is filled with sorrow,

Faith is always enough.

You need not to worry about tomorrow,

When God fills your cup.

I always wonder about those who do not believe, and what kind of vision they have for tomorrow. How do they find strength to rise above adversity? This is a beautifully written poem, and it is evident that your "cup runeth over" my dear friend. Your unshakable faith is something to be emulated.
