Wildflowers

Wildflowers

A Poem by Melinda McQueen

The wind blew

And they shifted in the breeze.

The sun kissed them anew,

Aware of their need.

Standing tall,

They know who they are.

Giving their all,

They are warmed.

Wildflowers seek to be

What they were created for.

His creation for His glory,

To praise Him in worth.

Confident in their place,

They reveal His glory

Simply by being in His grace.

They are free.

We are His,

Just as the wildflowers.

Each are His cherished,

With blessings He showers.

Though the winds of life blow

And the world seems to tower…

Remember, God knows

And cares for His wildflowers.

You are welcome Melinda.
Lovely write. The country side right now is full of these colors, just waiting to welcome autumn's brightness. Valentine

Very nice. Yes we are a part of the garden. I particularly am drawn to the last four lines of God's assurance.

Very beautiful poem. Great analogy of living our lives to praise and be rewarded.

Nice alliteration. Nice comparison. I like the wild connotation as opposed to any docileness. A very nice poem.
