Christmas Lives in the HeartA Poem by Melinda McQueen
Christmas
Lives in the Heart Joy fills
the air With
a little more care. Hearts
are lighter, And spirits
brighter. Boys
and girls awaiting Christmas Morn, When
wrapping paper will be enthusiastically torn. Sitting
beneath the tree, their eyes wide, Christmas
lives in the heart, with gifts stacked high. Music
fills malls with cheer Of the
greatest time of year. Loved
ones are in mind, And the
best gifts to find. Though,
some are filled with sorrow, Wishing
last Christmas could be borrowed. For
loved ones are with us no longer, Christmas
lives in the heart stronger. Lift
your heart and smile As
they are with you all the while. The joy
of Christmas can still be felt As memories
are forever kept. Let your
spirit sing, As peace
it will bring. Know
that your loved ones will be a part, As Christmas
Lives in the heart. © 2015 Melinda McQueenReviews
