A King Come to EarthA Poem by Melinda McQueen
A
King Come to Earth The day
He came, He was dressed in Righteousness.
A tiny
heart was named Long
before He came to bless. A King
come to earth To save
the lost. To give
new birth At great
cost. He dreamt
the biggest dream And carried
it out. Souls
did He seek to redeem, Christ
truly loved out loud. A King
come to earth, Bare
and small. Counted
was His worth By the
One who gave all. Having
chosen to be fragile and fair, He lay
in a manger, Dreaming
of the reason He was there-- To defeat
sin’s danger. God
loved much And His
heart He searched… As
the hearts of mankind He wanted to touch, THE King
come to earth. © 2015 Melinda McQueenReviews
