Dressing the TreeA Poem by Melinda McQueen
Dressing the Tree Lights strung on every branch, Sparkling a beautiful dance. Memories filling spaces From the heart’s many places. Gathering around are ornaments of gold, Some brand new, some--memories of old. A returning awe of times sweetly told, Dressing the tree, a wonder to behold. Trimming with ribbons and tensile Until the whole tree is filled. Love and care adorns Memories once more. A steady reminder of grace That lights the way. A beacon of hope That will someday bring us Home. The Lord places His Light within us, Making our souls ever victorious. Filling empty spaces with God’s peace, He is dressing you and me. © 2015 Melinda McQueenReviews
