Because She DaresA Poem by Melinda McQueen
Because
She Dares Wisps
of a gentle breeze, There
was bustling of leaves. Content
in his memory, She knows
to simply be. Twists
and turns, Yet the
love still burns. Like
a roaring fire, The flames
never tire. Life
didn’t care, Yet she
still dares-- Dares
to keep him alive Even
in dark of night. Sinking
into her thoughts, He comes
where dreams are caught-- Caught
in her mind, Caught
in her heart for all time. She longs
to be inside her dreams Where
they meet. Missing
him so, To her
dreams she goes. She let
him in, And the
love story will never end. Love
they will always share, Because
she dares. © 2016 Melinda McQueenReviews
