Droplets of Rain on a Tin RoofA Poem by Melinda McQueenDroplets of Rain on a Tin Roof
The rain falls In a relentless loop
A song dancing As on the stage of life. A poetic prancing In steady rhyme.
Pecking its fingernails In a tap dance of droplets. All in one accord do they prevail, Drumming in powerful sets.
Falling asleep to the sound Of its musical tune. A calmness found In its truth.
Listen… do you hear? In the quietness of your soul, A gentle quaking in the ear Which you bestow.
Be filled with Hopes, dreams and truth, But remember to cherish Droplets of rain on a tin roof. © 2016 Melinda McQueenReviews
