Have you ever felt powerless?

Like nothing you did would help?

That everything is a mess,

Dropped in a deep well?

 

A gentle touch, a quick smile

Is all one may need to get through.

To let them know that life is worthwhile,

Show the Jesus in you.

 

As a candle in a dark place

Can cast a light,

So too can grace

Fill a hopeless night.

 

In a world filled with pain,

Be a source of hope in truth.

As a glowing sun in the midst of rain,

Show the Jesus in you.

 

Love them through the fear,

Reach them with His grace.

Wipe away tears,

Carry them in His Name.

 

When you feel helpless to someone’s cry,

Just remember how God has comforted you too.

Having His Spirit on the inside…
