When Still You BelieveA Poem by Melinda McQueenWhen Still You Believe
It turns upside down, Hitting bumps all around. Moving at a speed In which you can’t keep.
Thoughts filling the crevices of your mind, Taking you with a deliberate sigh. Though all say it can’t be, When still you believe.
A Ferris Wheel ride, Looking out from its heights. Far away, yet seeing its wonder, The “how to” is just a passing ponder.
A thought seemingly bigger than the Texas sky, A feeling outweighing your ability to cry. A far reaching dream continues to be, When still you believe.
Daring to touch the stars No matter how far they are. Hoping one will fall into waiting arms, Causing a consuming warmth.
When everything is stacked against, And you’re on the other side of the fence, Your faith grows more fully When still you believe. © 2016 Melinda McQueenReviews
