Hello Mel, a flower without a sunshine will truly wilt, although the thing is it's a flower to begin with and not any other kind, I believe that's enough worth blooming for. I thank you for this super cool poem, EG.
No matter how we get warmth/love (sunshine), dark sky (death) awaits us all. what matters is whether we accept our fate. Are we ready? may our days be long.
how life is about sharing whether directly or indirectly and from one share the sun to a flower in returns shares beauty and pollen to a bee and so on. we are all joined together and all can die from a link being broken. nice work. melinda.
A beautiful and sad poem dear Melinda.
"Then, one day its sunshine went away,
Replaced by a dark sky.
Its heart ached, and its petals began to fade--
For what is a flower without its sunshine?."
The above lines are true. When the sunshine leaved our face. Our heart is broken. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.
