Blue DiamondA Poem by Melinda McQueen
Blue
Diamond Shining
from afar, Just
out of reach. I know
where you are, Yet,
you cannot be seen. A precious
gem Glowing
just beyond, Waiting
to be kept-- Blue
diamond. I
know you’re there, As I
can feel you. So much
you bare, Yet,
you remain true. You continue
to see from your viewpoint, Even
though I know it cannot be. Pressing,
as though it anoints, Blue
diamond, why do you still believe? Though
everything says “No”, Reminding
me that it’s not meant for me… Your
dreams never slow, But still
you seek. Though
I tell you to give up… That
I’m unworthy of love… Still,
you beat just as much… My heart…
my blue diamond. © 2017 Melinda McQueenReviews
