Frosted GlassA Poem by Melinda McQueenFrosted Glass
The wind beats against a cold window, A chill none has known. Protected not from its wrath, Nor the things it lacks.
Frosted glass, with tiny beads Descending along its surface length, As a tear which never meets its end, Its reach never spent.
Its purpose is to let in the sunshine, Filling a room with light. Cascading ribbons of color Where darkness is no more.
Frosted glass hides for a time The beauty on the other side, And though many fail to see, The light still burns brightly.
An outward chance Of an inward stance. Needing to be seen-- Needing simply to be.
Though the winds of life rage, There is a light to shine the way. If ever you need help, just ask, For the light penetrates even frosted glass. © 2017 Melinda McQueenReviews
