The Lion in Me

The Lion in Me

An ever-present help,

A love deeper than any well.

A nurturing whisper in dark times,

A roaring Lion resides.

 

He pleads my cause,

Catching me when I fall.

He knows my every need,

The Lion in me.

 

He goes before me,

Making a way in the most turbulent seas.

The Lion of my heart

Leads me from the dark

 

He has plans,

And in the gap He stands.

He hears my plea,

The Lion in me.

 

My Lord cradles me in His hand

Even when I don’t understand.

When my heart cries,

He is at my side.

 

Though I know not where my life leads,

In Christ I believe.

I can do all things,

With the Lion in me.
