The Sun Still ShinesA Poem by Melinda McQueenThe Sun Still Shines
The sun still shines, And
this heart of mine-- It still beats… As my
love still keeps. And the birds still fly. I’m still here holding my dreams Within the deepest part of me.
The sun still shines, And words still have rhyme. I’m still writing my heart out Until again my hope is found.
The sun still shines, And though
from someone my heart hides… Love so real.
The sun still shines, And my heart still doesn’t lie. It still beats… Though love retreats. © 2017 Melinda McQueenReviews
