Sea of ForgivenessA Poem by Melinda McQueen
Sea
of Forgiveness Raging
waters roar, Lapping
fiercely. The moon’s
reflection barely mirrored On
the darkened sea. The heart
beats-- No,
pounds… Struggling
to be, In a
world bound. Chains
break free When
the heart forgives. A surge
of relief Radiates
from love cherished. Blue
waters flow Again,
as smoothly as before. Peace
fills the soul As bitterness
closes its heavy door. At once,
all is calm, A rush
of happiness, The heart’s
reflection mirrors The sea
of forgiveness. © 2017 Melinda McQueenReviews
