Still She BelievesA Poem by Melinda McQueen
Still She Believes
The wind blew Her hair And she knew They would always be there.
Though the storms rage, And her future uncertain, She welcomes the day When she is her own person.
She knows her dreams Even if no one else knows. Still she believes In the dreams of her tomorrow.
Up high in the sky… No, higher still… Her dreams ride Inside her will.
Pushing through. They never leave. Though they are blue, Still she believes
The wind still blows Its warmth indeed. In the dreams from whence she grows, Still she believes. © 2017 Melinda McQueenReviews
